Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Roadmapper.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Digitala Idéfabriken Malmö AB, a Swedish company ("Roadmapper," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Roadmapper, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description and Scope
Roadmapper is a SaaS roadmap planning and visualisation tool that helps founders and product teams create high-level product roadmaps through an AI-powered assistant and an interactive timeline editor, and share them with stakeholders via read-only links (the "Service"). The Service provides planning and visualisation tools — not business, legal, financial, or investment advice.
Pricing Model: The Service includes a free allowance of AI-usage credits. Additional credits can be purchased as one-time credit packages. All payments are processed through our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy.
2. Account Eligibility and Registration
2.1 Business Use. The Service is intended for business, commercial, or professional purposes. By using Roadmapper, you represent that you are accessing the Service for business purposes and not as a consumer. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protections under your local law.
2.2 Age and Authority. You must be at least 18 years old. If accessing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2.3 Account Security. You sign in to Roadmapper with your Google account; we do not issue separate passwords. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use to sign in and for all activities under your Roadmapper account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
3. Payment Terms and Refunds
3.1 Merchant of Record. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. When you complete a purchase, you enter into a transaction with Lemon Squeezy for payment processing purposes while Roadmapper remains responsible for Service delivery. By purchasing, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms at https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/buyer-terms.
3.2 Pricing. Additional AI-usage credits are sold as one-time packages at the prices displayed at checkout, inclusive of applicable taxes handled by Lemon Squeezy. Purchased credits do not expire and are consumed as you use AI features.
3.3 Refund Policy. Because credits are digital content delivered immediately upon purchase, we generally do not offer refunds for credits that have been consumed. However, we may offer refunds or credits at our discretion for documented technical failures or significant service malfunctions. Contact hello@roadmapper.io within 7 days of purchase.
3.4 Consumer Withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, by completing checkout you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day withdrawal right once the purchased credits are made available to your account.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Include unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, or discriminatory content in roadmaps, including roadmaps you share publicly via share links
- Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our platform
- Use automated systems to scrape or extract data without authorization
- Circumvent technical limitations or security measures, including credit limits
- Use the Service to develop competing products or conduct competitive analysis
- Violate any applicable law, including data protection regulations
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
5. Artificial Intelligence Features
5.1 AI Disclosure. Roadmapper uses artificial intelligence, including models from third-party providers such as Anthropic (Claude), to generate roadmaps, planning suggestions, and related content from your input.
5.2 Accuracy Limitations. By using AI features, you acknowledge:
- AI-generated outputs are probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or contain errors
- You should not rely on AI outputs as your sole basis for business decisions
- We recommend applying human judgment and independent verification before acting on any AI-generated plan or recommendation
- AI outputs do not constitute professional business, legal, financial, or investment advice
- We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI outputs
5.3 Third-Party AI Providers. Our AI features utilize third-party services. We disclaim all liability for third-party AI performance, accuracy, or data handling. Third-party providers may process data under their own terms and retention policies.
5.4 Your Responsibility. You are solely responsible for all business decisions made based on AI outputs. Your use of AI features is at your own risk.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Your Content. You retain ownership of content you submit, including project descriptions, chat messages, and roadmap content. By submitting content, you grant Roadmapper a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process your content through our AI systems solely to provide the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account, except for aggregated, anonymized data.
6.2 AI-Generated Outputs. Roadmaps and AI-generated content created from your inputs are assigned to you. However, AI-generated content may not qualify for copyright protection under applicable law. Roadmapper retains ownership of underlying AI models, algorithms, methodologies, platform technology, and general insights derived from aggregated anonymized data.
6.3 Feedback. If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us an unlimited, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use and incorporate such feedback without compensation.
6.4 Our Platform. Roadmapper, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Digitala Idéfabriken Malmö AB and protected by intellectual property laws.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
8.1 Service "As Is". THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
8.2 No Success Guarantees. ROADMAPS, PLANNING SUGGESTIONS, AND AI RECOMMENDATIONS ARE PLANNING AIDS, NOT GUARANTEES OF DELIVERY DATES, OUTCOMES, OR SUCCESS. ANY ACTION BASED ON OUR OUTPUTS IS ENTIRELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
8.3 Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
(a) Our total aggregate liability for claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (i) total fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (ii) one hundred US dollars ($100).
(b) We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, regardless of cause and even if advised of the possibility.
(c) These limitations apply to all claims whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or any other theory.
8.4 Jurisdictional Exceptions. Some jurisdictions do not permit limitation of certain damages. If you are in such a jurisdiction, some limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roadmapper, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
(a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party rights; (d) content you submit; or (e) roadmaps you share and claims by their viewers.
10. Account Suspension and Termination
10.1 By You. You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@roadmapper.io. Upon closure, your access terminates immediately with no refunds for unused credits.
10.2 By Us. We may suspend your account for suspected Terms violations or security concerns, providing notice and opportunity to remedy where appropriate. We may terminate accounts immediately for material breaches, illegal activity, or repeated violations.
10.3 Effect of Termination. Upon termination, you lose all rights to the Service. We will retain your data for 30 days to allow data export, then delete personal data per our Privacy Policy (except records retained for legal obligations).
11. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you must stop using the Service.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
12.1 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.2 Jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of Malmö, Sweden.
12.3 EU Consumer Rights. If you are a consumer in the European Union, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. You may bring proceedings in your local courts.
13. General Provisions
13.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Roadmapper.
13.2 Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
13.3 No Waiver. Failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
13.4 Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
